This role is essential to the successful delivery of TSB’s annual Financial Medium-Term Planning (MTP) process, ensuring our long‑term forecasts, assumptions and modelling frameworks are robust, well‑controlled and clearly evidenced. You’ll shape how data and modelling tools are used across the function, improve process efficiency, and help the team embed new forecasting methods ahead of the wider transition to Santander systems and processes.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong data analytics skills, ideally with experience handling large datasets and modelling drivers.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and help embed improved forecasting processes.
  • A proactive, solution‑focused mindset with confidence in diagnosing issues, identifying root causes and driving independent resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to improve documentation, controls and governance.
  • Experience or interest in Oracle Planning, SmartView, and modern reporting/automation tools such as Power BI, Power Pivot and Power Automate.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different forecasting and reporting areas as priorities evolve.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and related teams.

What we offer in return

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work/life balance.
  • An attractive reward and benefits package through myTSB, giving you more of what matters to you.
  • A diverse, energising, and collaborative working environment.
  • A career that’s enriching and full of opportunities.

Selection process

There will be a 30‑minute informal, exploratory conversation with the Hiring Manager followed by a structured interview via Teams with the Hiring Manager plus another panel member. Here are some of the questions you’ll be asked at interview:

  • What motivates and energises you when working with complex data, modelling tasks or analytical challenges?
  • Describe a time when you helped create a working environment where colleagues felt respected, included and encouraged to contribute.
  • Tell us about a time you built, improved or maintained a model or analytical tool—how did you approach it and what was the outcome?
  • Describe how you approach solving a complex analytical problem where data or requirements were initially unclear.
