Are you someone who loves working with young people and making a difference in their learning journey?
We are recruiting a Senior Science Technician to join our expanding academy and support our next cohort of students in September.
The successful candidate will be an experienced science technician who can manage their own workflows and assist colleagues, while providing high-quality support to students and science teachers.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical support for science lessons by carrying out demonstrations, preparing resources, and assembling apparatus as required.
- Ensure the science area meets health and safety requirements.
- Lead on stock control and ordering as appropriate.
- Line manage the Science Technician team and be responsible for the technical disciplines of experimental and practical work.
Requirements
- Experience as a science technician with the ability to manage own and others’ workflows.
- Ability to provide high-quality support to students and science teachers.
- Experience leading a team and ensuring health and safety compliance in a laboratory or science teaching environment.
