Are you passionate about making a difference in our pupils' lives and eager to support their learning journey in a collaborative education setting? Penbridge School is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and supportive team. In this vital role, you will:
- Deliver lessons to cover teacher PPA time and training
- Work alongside class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Support individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum and engage actively in their learning
- Play a crucial role in both classroom-based and wider school activities
You will be an integral part of the school community, making a tangible difference every day.
What you will need to succeed:
- A HLTA qualification would be desirable or the attribute to work towards obtaining this
- Previous experience in Key Stage 1 or/and Key Stage 2
- Passionate about inclusive education with the ability to support all learners
- A team player with initiative, able to work collaboratively while also demonstrating independence
- Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people including pupils, staff, parents and external professionals
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
About Us
Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.
