Looking for a pastoral role where you can make a real difference? We are seeking confident, proactive and highly organised individuals to join our team in a key pastoral role, supporting the effective implementation of our Behaviour Policy across the Academy. This is a varied and hands-on position where you will play a vital role in promoting a calm, structured and positive learning environment. You will oversee the day-to-day running of punctuality, internal exclusion and detentions, maintain a visible presence around the school, and work closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams to support student engagement and behaviour. You will also liaise with parents and carers, contribute to staff training, and use behaviour data to inform improvements across the Academy.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the effective implementation of the Academy’s Behaviour Policy
  • Manage the daily running of the Reset Room internal exclusion room and detentions/sanctions
  • Provide a high-visibility presence around the Academy, supporting staff and monitoring pupils out of lessons
  • Lead on student punctuality
  • Work closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and pastoral teams to improve student engagement
  • Liaise with parents and carers regarding behavioural concerns
  • Deliver staff training and contribute to CPD related to behaviour management
  • Track and analyse behaviour data, providing reports to SLT and Governors
