We are excited to announce an opening for a Maths Second in Department to join our team at Brixham College. The successful candidate will be an experienced Maths Teacher who is enthusiastic about embracing new ideas, demonstrates a positive attitude, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. As Maths Second in Department, you will be capable of planning and delivering a dynamic and engaging curriculum while keeping up-to-date with the latest curriculum developments.

Our Maths Second in Department will support the Head of Department and wider team by:

  • Contributing to the department’s development plan, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Ensuring an appropriate and ambitious curriculum embedded across all key stages.
  • Assisting in the development of the curriculum to ensure continued relevance to the needs of pupils, examining and awarding bodies, and the Academy’s Aims and Development Plan objectives.
