We are seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to support a blue light condition survey programme across London. This is a short-term contract role, well suited to a surveyor with strong condition surveying experience within occupied, operational buildings and a good understanding of public sector estates.

Scope of Work
- Undertaking condition surveys of blue light operational buildings
- Inspecting building fabric, M&E interfaces, and external elements
- Identifying defects, prioritising remedial works, and assessing risk
- Producing clear, structured condition survey reports in line with programme requirements
- Working to agreed survey methodologies, formats, and timescales
- Liaising professionally with site contacts in live operational environments
Requirements
- Qualified Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent preferred, but not essential with relevant experience)
- Proven experience delivering condition surveys, ideally within public sector or blue light estates
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Strong reporting and technical writing skills
- Ability to work within secure and sensitive environments
- Valid driving licence preferred
