We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to support a hospital condition survey programme in Glasgow. The role will involve undertaking detailed building condition surveys across a hospital estate, assessing the condition of the building fabric, identifying defects and accurately capturing survey data using a tablet device and GoReport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake building condition surveys across hospital buildings and associated facilities.
  • Inspect building fabric and identify defects, deterioration and maintenance requirements.
  • Accurately capture survey information, photographs and condition data using a tablet and GoReport.
  • Assess the condition and priority of identified defects.
  • Complete surveys to the required programme and quality standards.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive survey information following site inspections.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Building Surveyor.
  • Strong experience delivering building condition surveys.
  • Good knowledge of building fabric, defects and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience using GoReport would be highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable using tablet-based surveying technology.
  • Ability to work independently and complete surveys efficiently.
  • Previous healthcare or public-sector surveying experience would be beneficial.
