An established building consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Director specialising in Dilapidations to join its Nottingham team. This is a senior role for a commercially minded Building Surveyor with a strong track record in commercial dilapidations, looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role
- Lead a range of dilapidations instructions for a high-profile client base, providing both technical and commercial advice.
- Preparing and negotiating Schedules of Dilapidations.
- Advising landlords and tenants on lease-end liabilities.
- Undertaking building inspections and producing detailed reports.
- Managing dilapidations instructions from inception through to completion.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Mentoring junior and intermediate surveyors.
- Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities.
The Client Base
You will work with a diverse portfolio of nationally recognised organisations, including clients such as PureGym, Vision Express and higher education/universities, as well as wider commercial property portfolios.
About You
- Strong commercial dilapidations experience.
- Chartered Building Surveyor, ideally MRICS.
- Excellent technical and negotiation skills.
- Strong client management and communication abilities.
- Commercially aware with an interest in business development.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior surveyors.
