An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Building Surveying to join a leading, multi-disciplinary property consultancy in Leeds. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for developing and growing the Building Surveying offering across Yorkshire, while continuing to build strong relationships with key clients and delivering high-quality technical advice.
The Role
- Lead and develop the Building Surveying team across the Leeds/Yorkshire region
- Drive business growth, winning new instructions and developing existing client relationships
- Oversee a broad range of building surveying instructions, including technical due diligence, defect diagnosis, planned maintenance, refurbishment and project work
- Act as a senior client-facing advisor across commercial property portfolios
- Support the wider business with strategic advice and cross-sector opportunities
- Mentor and develop junior and senior surveyors, helping to shape the future direction of the team
About You
We’re looking for a Director-level professional with a strong track record in consultancy and team leadership. You should have:
- MRICS qualification
- Significant Building Surveying consultancy experience
- Strong commercial and business development skills
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- A strong understanding of the Leeds/Yorkshire commercial property market
Package: £125,000 total package, including car allowance, alongside a strong benefits package and genuine scope to influence and grow the regional Building Surveying business.
