Freelance Building Surveyor – Condition Surveys (Hospital) Manchester

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to carry out condition surveys for a major hospital site in Manchester. This is an urgent requirement, with the successful candidate starting as soon as possible and working through to the end of September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertaking detailed condition surveys of hospital buildings and associated facilities.
• Identifying and recording building defects, maintenance requirements, and compliance issues.
• Producing clear, accurate, and comprehensive survey reports.
• Liaising with on-site teams to coordinate access and minimise disruption to hospital operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in building condition surveys (healthcare experience advantageous).
• Strong technical knowledge of building pathology and construction.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality reports to tight deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (mileage paid at £0.45/mile + parking reimbursed).
• Willingness to work via an Umbrella company role is Inside IR35.
