We are working with a leading PFI consultancy seeking an experienced PFI Consultant to join its growing team, supporting a portfolio of operational PFI projects across the UK. The business specialises in two key areas: technical advisory to end clients on their PFI projects and handback surveys and best-practice assessments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across both areas, with a mix of desktop-based technical work, site surveys and direct client interaction.
- Provide technical advisory services to clients across operational PFI projects.
- Undertake handback surveys, condition assessments and technical reviews.
- Carry out desktop reviews of project documentation, existing surveys and contractual requirements.
- Undertake site inspections across England and prepare clear technical reports.
- Review lifecycle planning, asset condition and maintenance requirements.
- Work directly with clients, SPVs, FM providers and other project stakeholders.
- Contribute to the business's centre of best practice for handback surveys.
Experience in technical advisory, handback, asset management, lifecycle or operational PFI work. Strong understanding of operational PFI contracts and asset lifecycle management. Experience in technical surveys, condition assessments or similar would be advantageous. Strong analytical and report-writing skills. Technical background in Building Surveying, Facilities Management, Building Services, Asset Management, Engineering or a similar discipline. Comfortable working with clients and travelling nationally for site-based work. This is a predominantly home-based role, combining desktop consultancy with client-facing work and site visits.
