We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to oversee one of our major client accounts, managing Health & Safety operations across multiple sites nationwide. This pivotal role acts as the single point of contact between the client and our team of Health & Safety Consultants (HSC’s) and our management team. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, consistent communication, and compliance with agreed service scopes. The role could suit someone from a technical background in health & safety, project management or similar equivalents, or someone from a highly proficient administrative background who would like to put their skills to use in a more technically minded role. We are looking for the successful candidate to work out of one of our 2 London based offices to suit their convenience. These are based in Croydon and the Blackfriars area of central London. We also offer hybrid working as standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations for a major national account with projects across multiple sites.
- Conduct daily check-ins with Health & Safety Consultants (HSCs) to confirm site attendance and operational status as well as supporting consultant mental health and wellbeing.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client and HSCs to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Monitor and track project progress by liaising with client teams and contractors.
- Coordinate resource planning and allocation to meet the dynamic needs of national projects.
- Proactively identify and progress potential leads for future project opportunities.
- Chair weekly internal meetings with HSCs to provide support, troubleshoot issues, and foster knowledge-sharing.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings for senior management as required.
- Compile and report weekly deliverables to internal leadership to ensure alignment with client scope and service level agreements.
- Monitor client incident reporting platforms daily; assist HSCs with accurate reporting, documentation, and follow-up of any incidents.
- Contribute to and deliver client presentations and performance updates.
- Support onboarding and preparation of new/proposed HSCs for client interviews by providing briefings and necessary documentation.
- Collate, manage, and transmit documentation for Health & Safety Files (HSFs) to the client in a timely and compliant manner.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in account or project management within the Health & Safety or construction industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Familiar with using CRM systems to input and generate data.
- Comfortable chairing meetings and presenting to clients at senior levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Good commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate fees / rates which align with company strategy and profit margins.
- Experience with national/multi-site operations.
- Some knowledge of health and safety compliance requirements and best practices.
- Experience in incident management, reporting, and lessons learned processes.
- Experience in basic operations management and / or resource management.
