About the Role:
TSA Riley’s Health & Safety team are seeking to hire an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to work in a fast-paced logistics environment for a global, blue-chip client.
This is a fixed-term contract for up to 6 months, and the successful candidate will be paid a competitive day rate and be based at one or more of our client’s site(s), within the Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside region. This is quite a large region, therefore candidates will need to be located somewhere within this region and be prepared to travel. Day to day you will be based on site for up to 10 hours a day. Some weekend works may be required.
Exact details of the assignment, including hours, days worked and locations can be discussed further at interview stage as we are seeking multiple hires to cover multiple sites with individual parameters.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Consultant to join an established and professional team with the primary purpose of supporting and advising the project team. This will require a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Typical duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recording and maintaining accurate daily and weekly metrics.
- Reporting to onsite management teams using corporate reporting systems.
- Supporting stakeholders and the project team with compliance and HS regulations.
- Carrying out regular site walks throughout the day.
- Completing risk assessments with attention to detail.
- Carrying out toolbox talks
- Attending and chairing various meetings with the stakeholders and the wider project team.
- Advising and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
Essential Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- CSCS card
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to use and learn our client’s reporting system. Previous experience of using Bolt would be advantageous
- Previous experience of working as a Health & Safety Consultant / Health & Safety Advisor or similar is essential
- Prior experience of working on industrial warehouse projects would be advantageous, but is not essential

- Ability to review risk assessments in a working environment and advise on reasonably practicable control measures.
