Due to continued growth of our business, we are currently recruiting a Junior Software Developer to join our Digital Technology team.

Due to continued growth of our business, we are currently recruiting a Junior Software Developer to join our Digital Technology team based in Manchester.

About the Role:

The junior software developer is a key member in the Digital Technology team that works closely with the Developer to expand their knowledge and skillset. They work in the same areas as the Developer including project scoping/estimating, storyboards, feature definition, development/coding, bug fixing, source code maintenance, deployment, and maintenance. Due to the junior position all work performed is closely monitored and checked by senior members of the team and assistance is provided throughout. This role also works closely with the Visualisation Operative by provided modelling assistance where needed.

The Junior Software Developer generally works to reduce load on the rest of the Team.

About your Responsibilities:

  • Supporting internal software development projects
  • Contributing to external software development and maintenance activities
  • Supporting the production of project proposal documents
  • Analysing and estimating client requirements and project timeframes
  • Developing storyboards for client projects
  • Creating project plans and tracking progress against agreed milestones
  • Writing software to support project delivery
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing software
  • Identifying, tracking and resolving software bugs
  • Researching and supporting the design of new methodologies and technologies
  • Managing source control across projects
  • Producing project documentation and design specifications
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to support successful project delivery
  • Producing digital animations in line with client requirements

About You:

  • Knowledge of C# programming and coding principles
  • Understanding of JavaScript and web development
  • Good working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Understanding of software development and design principles
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
