The purpose of this role is to deliver a high standard of safety, health and wellbeing services to our clients within this region of the business. This includes audits, coaching and policy and risk assessment production.

How you'll contribute:

  • Carrying out health & safety audits at small to medium sized businesses using iAuditor/Safety Culture Software.
  • Producing reports and action plans.
  • Supporting pre‑construction activities with clients.
  • Producing policies, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, safe working practices.
  • Helping clients with SSIP accreditations (CHAS, SMAS etc.).
  • Developing close working relationships with clients.
  • Communicating at all levels from CEO to shop floor workers.
  • Delivering training and coaching.
  • Advising on wellbeing initiatives specifically aimed at the construction industry.
  • Reviewing RAMS and CPPs.
  • Administrating projects using iManage software.
  • Conducting workshops and advising the client with regards to CDM.
  • Preparing health and safety files.

About You:

  • Prior experience of carrying out the Health & Safety Consultant role or a similar equivalent role with a reputable construction contractor, consultancy or developer.
  • Experience of working in a Health & Safety role across a range of sectors within the construction built environment is essential.
  • Prior experience of operating in a principal design role is desired.
  • Has the ability to be dynamic and solve problems.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and communicate strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to quickly use and learn new client reporting systems.
  • Ability to review risk assessments in a working environment and advise on reasonably practicable control measures.
  • Knowledge of RAMS.
  • Good communicator with the ability to self‑assess.
  • Demonstrably strong report and document writing skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with experience of working on multiple contracts or client accounts concurrently.
  • Strong people management skills and ability to mentor, support and delegate work appropriately to junior members of staff.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential as regular travel to regional sites will be required.

About your Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH certificate or similar equivalent is essential.
  • TechIOSH level or working towards Diploma Status is desired.
  • Valid and in‑date CSCS card or similar equivalent is essential.
  • Additional health and safety, construction, fire safety qualifications are beneficial.
