Weld Assistant Manager

We are currently hiring a Weld Assistant Manager to join our production team in New Castle, IN.
Reports To: Production Manager
Direct reports: Production Associates (Coordinators and below)
Qualifications: Good understanding of all aspects of a J.I.T. seat manufacturing operation. Good written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Previous automotive industry and supervision experience is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and control manpower and overall quality within the department to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and implement plans for safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
- Investigate feasibility of new equipment and techniques.
- Prepare cost estimates for changes in manufacturing methods.
- Participate in developing new or improved products, including process flow.
- Prepare manufacturing instructions as new products are approved for production.
- Maintain production and product quality and quantity within the established budget.
- Support development of 5S, TPM, and Kaizen programs.
- Manage the production plan effectively.
- Arrange production labor within each section.
- Control work hours and labor conditions.
- Ensure safe operations.
- Establish and execute a monthly plan.
- Align daily control items with the company\’s business plan and key metrics.
- Administer performance reviews.
- Attend Management Review/ISO meetings.
- Assist with maintaining the China CCC system.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Apply extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
