Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct leadership to co-leaders and indirect leadership to associates assigned within the area of responsibility.
- Evaluate associate training needs, ensuring competence and cross training where applicable.
- Provide necessary tools, equipment, including personal protective equipment and resources to associates.
- Problem solving and countermeasure development.
- Monitor and measure accuracy of processes and equipment.
- Provide new associates with thorough department orientation.
- Conduct coaching and counseling for inappropriate behaviour and attendance.
- Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
- Ensure safe operations.
- Ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
- Administer performance reviews.
- All other duties as assigned.
Must have a good understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and JIT principles, high manual dexterity and good visual acuity to work with parts.
