An established law firm based in Blackburn is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented RTA Paralegal to join its growing personal injury team. This is a fully onsite role offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload while supporting fee earners on a variety of Road Traffic Accident claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigated RTA claims from inception through to settlement
- Assist fee earners with litigated matters where required
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements
- Liaise with clients, insurers, medical professionals, and third parties
- Obtain and review medical reports and evidence
- Negotiate settlements with insurers
- Ensure files are handled in line with regulatory and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records
Requirements
- Previous experience handling RTA claims (essential)
- Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficient in case management systems
Desirable
- Experience handling litigated RTA files
- Knowledge of MOJ Portal and Civil Procedure Rules
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
