A respected and growing law firm based in Upton Park, London is seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join its established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor who is passionate about delivering exceptional client care and high quality legal advice across a broad range of private family matters.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of privately funded family law matters while also supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of family law files from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on divorce, separation and financial remedy matters
- Handling private children matters including child arrangements and parental responsibility disputes
- Advising on cohabitation disputes and separation agreements
- Preparing prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate and instructing counsel when required
- Drafting legal documents, witness statements and court applications
- Maintaining excellent client care standards throughout the case lifecycle
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures
- Supporting networking, referrals and business development initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum 3 years PQE within family law
- Strong experience managing a private family law caseload independently
- Excellent knowledge of family procedure and relevant legislation
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Professional, empathetic and client focused approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Desirable
- Experience supervising junior staff or paralegals
