Production Manager – Electronics/ Engineering (Dorset/ Hants/ Wilts) £50,000 – £52,000 basic + bonus + 20 days holiday Expansion has created a career opportunity, within this well-established manufacturer, for an experienced manager – responsible for the day to day running of production and the shop floor. Within this factory, working at capacity, you will oversee 25+ staff (supervisors, assembly, testing) involved in custom made, bespoke OEM products for the defence, aerospace, and medical industries. Other responsibilities, aside for motivating and developing the staff, include producing production plans using ERP software; analysis of production times to ensure optimum productivity; ensuring the smooth process of planning work going through the entire factory and taking responsibility in the absence of the general manager. This is a key appointment within the management team and the ideal candidate needs to be a strong leader with a background (electronics or related) in production/production planning. You should be competent in MRP systems, Office & Excel. A distinct bonus if you are working with bespoke products and are used to large amounts of materials and production items.
