Our customer is a successful and growing specialist metal products manufacturing business, supplying the automotive and transportation industry. They are a well-known branded business and market leader within the chosen industries they serve. As a result, they have an exciting opportunity for a new Sales Director to support the business on the next stage of their growth journey.
The Sales Director will be responsible for providing strategic and operational sales and commercial leadership to ensure the business meets its growth objectives. This includes overseeing and developing the sales, account management and NPI teams and acting as an interface to internal operations and supply chain teams. In addition, the Sales Director will take a lead in enhancing current customer relationships and targeting new opportunities in other markets.
- At least 5 years in a Sales/Commercial Director role with balanced experience of working in both large and SME manufacturing organisations.
- Ideally a track record in a sales/commercial leadership position in an industrial component manufacturing business with proven ability to enhance revenue and margins.
- Strong financial acumen and someone in the detail to ensure the right customer contract opportunities are won for the business.
- Balanced hands-on people management and leadership skills bringing a mindset that focuses on evolving the strength of team members to ensure future delegation and succession planning.
- Experience of working within industrial metals product, fabrication industries preferred.
