A leading UK manufacturer and distributor is seeking an exceptional Group Operations Director to join the Executive Team and play a pivotal role in delivering its 2025–2028 strategy. This is a critical appointment for an experienced operational leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, ensuring world-class performance across a complex network of manufacturing sites and distribution operations.

The Opportunity

  • Shape and deliver an operational strategy that enhances efficiency, service, and sustainability.
  • Lead manufacturing and depot operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and performance.
  • Review and optimise the operational footprint, ensuring agility, cost effectiveness, and readiness for growth.
  • Drive transformation programmes to modernise systems, processes, and capability.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a large, multi-site team, embedding a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, and Customer functions to ensure operations underpin strategic and customer objectives.
  • Oversee capital investment, risk management, and compliance across the operational estate.

About You

You will bring a strong track record of senior operational leadership within multi-site manufacturing, logistics, or industrial services, ideally with exposure to both high volume production and distribution environments. You combine commercial sharpness with deep operational expertise and a passion for safety, people, and performance.
