The Role
- Partner with our Product Manager and engineering team to develop innovative features that guide users into cyber careers.
- Interview users to uncover needs and pain points.
- Sketch and wireframe concepts, then refine them into high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate with stakeholders—including TryHackMe’s founders—to align on requirements.
- Work hand-in-hand with engineers to ensure designs translate into seamless user experiences.
Thriving in a small, agile design team, you’ll switch effortlessly between independent ideation and collective brainstorming. Feedback fuels your process—you’ll propose multiple alternatives, iterate rapidly with low-fi prototypes, and use both quantitative metrics and qualitative insights to inform every decision. In the end, your designs and solutions will captivate millions of cybersecurity learners and professionals worldwide!
Clear communication—both visual and verbal—is second nature, ensuring every stakeholder understands your vision.
Research - Dive deep into user problems, by speaking directly with users, looking at product usage data, and researching best practices.
Design - Create wireframes to explore ideas, working at a fast pace to iterate and arrive on a chosen direction. Work on high fidelity designs ready for implementation.
Collaborate - Work daily with your team, particularly with the product manager. Frequent collaboration with stakeholders, including the founders of TryHackMe who are passionate about how we build product.
Communicate - Bring a design mindset to the team, advocate for good design principles, and do the best thing for the user.
Measure - Track the success of product updates, whether through an AB test, or analysing product usage data. Understand user behaviour through analytics and qualitative research.
Skills & Experience
An already established Product Designer/ UX Designer/ UI Designer, you will have:
- At least 4 years of UX/UI experience on consumer facing websites or apps.
- Proficiency using Figma.
- Comfortable creating wireframes and low fidelity mockups to explore ideas with others.
- Experience working with development teams and product managers.
- Understanding of users' behaviours and experience in analysing product usage using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- An excellent mindset for resolving issues, creating fantastic products, and demonstrating a passion in simplifying the lives of our customers.
- Beyond images, you can express yourself clearly verbally and in writing through common communication channels as well as longer-form writing where necessary.
- You are comfortable facilitating workshops and leading UX discovery.
