We’re looking for a Community Manager to help us build, engage, and empower the TryHackMe community: both online and offline. At TryHackMe, our mission is to make learning cybersecurity accessible, engaging, and fun for everyone. Our community is central to achieving that mission - connecting millions of learners, educators, and professionals worldwide who are passionate about cybersecurity and technology.
As Community Manager, you’ll be the bridge between TryHackMe and our users - the voice, advocate, and creative force behind community growth. You’ll strengthen our existing channels on Reddit and Discord, while leading initiatives to launch new communities on platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp. Beyond online engagement, you’ll help bring the TryHackMe community to life through offline events and activities that foster connection and collaboration.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll own community engagement, brand consistency, and advocacy programs that turn learners into lifelong TryHackMe champions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a community growth strategy across Reddit, Discord, and new platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp.
- Foster authentic connections by engaging with community members daily - answering questions, sparking discussions, and celebrating achievements.
- Launch and moderate new community channels, ensuring they’re safe, inclusive, and aligned with TryHackMe’s brand tone and values.
- Plan and deliver offline engagement initiatives, including local meetups, university partnerships, hackathons, and community-led events.
- Identify and empower ambassadors and advocates, giving them tools to represent TryHackMe globally.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align community activities with brand campaigns and product launches.
- Gather insights from the community, reporting on engagement trends, feedback, and sentiment to guide company strategy.
- Maintain brand consistency and uphold TryHackMe’s voice across all community platforms.
- 3+ years’ experience in community management, ideally in tech, cybersecurity, or STEM education.
- Proven experience managing and growing communities on Reddit, Discord, or similar platforms.
- Excited about cybersecurity or STEM - you genuinely enjoy learning, exploring, and sharing these topics with others.
- Strong understanding of brand management and how to foster loyalty through consistent, authentic engagement.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire and educate.
- Experience using data to measure engagement and community health.
- Experience launching or scaling tech communities.
- Event planning experience - from small meet-ups to large-scale community activations.
- Familiarity with community analytics and social listening tools.
- Start-up or scale-up experience - comfortable working autonomously and wearing multiple hats.
- Creative mindset - not afraid to experiment with new ideas to drive engagement.
- Salary - We hire across 34+ countries. We determine salaries based on Geographic Location, Seniority, Interview Performance, and Market Rates using leading compensation benchmarking tools.
