What You’ll Do
Avalara is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to guide new business growth across the UK, Ireland and The Nordics.
This is a strategic role focused on acquiring enterprise customers and expanding Avalara's footprint across a ever‑evolving tax and compliance landscape.
You will be an accomplished consultative seller, comfortable engaging with the Office of the CFO, Senior IT Directors, and other C‑suite leaders.
You will position Avalara's multi‑product tax compliance platform as an important enabler of digital transformation and global scale.
Beyond regional expertise, you will have or quickly acquire global tax domain knowledge, including U.
S. sales and use tax.
You will understand how latest technologies like Agentic AI are transforming automation, accuracy in compliance management.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
Responsibilities
- Drive net‑new revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new enterprise clients across the above mentioned region.
- Lead strategic sales engagements with C‑level stakeholders, aligning Avalara's value proposition with their operational and growth priorities.
- Position and sell Avalara's multi‑product suite, including VAT, sales tax, cross‑border compliance, and other automation solutions, as an integrated compliance platform.
- Demonstrate experience on Agentic AI's role in compliance, helping clients understand how experienced, autonomous systems can enhance tax accuracy, monitoring, and global scalability.
- Develop territory and account strategies aligned with Avalara's global growth goals and local market opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, alliances, and partner teams to lead localized campaigns, nurture the ERP (SAP and Oracle) and technology partner ecosystem, and accelerate pipeline growth.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence Avalara's product development and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of UKI and The Nordics tax legislation and a working understanding of international indirect tax frameworks, including the U. S.
- What You'll Need to be Successful
Qualifications
- You will have experience with complex, consultative B2B sales within Saa S, ERP, Fin Tech, or tax technology.
- 5+ years of experience in new business development with consistent quota completion.
- Experience selling to the Office of the CFO, with strong influencing and storytelling skills.
- Deep familiarity with ERP ecosystems, especially SAP, and how they integrate with compliance or finance solutions.
- Solid grasp of indirect tax and compliance automation in the above regions; stay up to date with industry trends. (Desirable)
- Awareness of or curiosity about Agentic AI, its business applications, and how AI‑driven automation is reshaping compliance operations.
- Experience contributing to regional marketing and partner strategies is desirable.
- You will report in to the Head of Enterprise Sales.
- This is a Hybrid role with travel to the London office required.
