Trade Counter Sales Advisor – Electrical Wholesaler £15.00 per hour | Permanent | Tyseley, Birmingham Our client is looking for an experienced Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join its busy Tyseley operation. This is a customer-facing role dealing mainly with electricians, contractors, tradespeople and regular trade customers. We are looking for someone who understands the electrical trade and can provide knowledgeable, helpful service across the counter. The role * Serving customers at the trade counter * Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable electrical products * Preparing quotations and processing orders * Answering telephone and customer enquiries * Picking and checking customer orders * Checking stock and assisting with stock control * Building strong relationships with regular trade customers * Helping customers with product availability, pricing and alternatives * Entering orders and customer information onto the computer system * Keeping the trade counter and showroom organised * Supporting the wider branch team when required The ideal person We are looking for someone who has previous experience in electrical wholesale, electrical trade counter sales or a similar trade environment. You will ideally have: * Good knowledge of electrical products and materials * Experience dealing with electricians or trade customers * Confident customer service and communication skills * Good computer skills * Accurate order-processing skills * A practical approach and good product knowledge * The ability to work at a busy pace * A friendly, professional manner * Good attention to detail This would suit an experienced Electrical Trade Counter Salesperson, Electrical Wholesaler Sales Advisor, Electrical Sales Assistant or Electrician looking to move into a sales/customer-facing role. Hours Monday to Friday – 8.00am to 5.00pm Saturday work may occasionally be required. Pay £15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
