Mechanical Assembly Operative (Aluminium & Glass) £14.50 per hour + Shift Allowance Immediate Start We are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a leading manufacturer producing high-quality aluminium extrusion assemblies with fitted glass panels. This is a hands-on manufacturing role assembling aluminium extrusions into finished products and fitting glass panels into the completed frames. The role involves using hand and power tools, working to detailed assembly instructions and handling glass safely. Regular lifting and manual handling form part of the position. Key Responsibilities * Assemble aluminium extrusion frames to detailed specifications. * Fit glass panels into aluminium assemblies. * Use hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical assemblies. * Follow assembly instructions and build procedures. * Carry out in-process and final quality inspections. * Ensure products are assembled accurately and meet quality standards. * Safely handle and lift aluminium components, glass panels and finished assemblies. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Requirements * Previous experience in mechanical assembly, production or manufacturing. * Confident using hand and power tools. * Experience assembling aluminium products would be an advantage. * Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach. * Physically fit, as the role involves regular lifting and manual handling. * Able to work safely with glass components. * Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
