A well-established metal fabrication company based in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder for a permanent role. Work is both in the workshop and on government sites, including prisons and other secure buildings. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. What You’ll Do:

  • Fabricate and weld security grilles, steel doors, gates, canopies, handrails, balustrades, staircases, platforms, and sheet metal components.
  • Work from technical drawings, assembling and finishing fabricated items to a high standard.
  • Drive to site in the company van.
  • Assist with fitting and installation on site (some general building experience useful).

Requirements:

  • Proven fabrication and welding experience (MIG essential, TIG an advantage).
  • Skilled in marking out, cutting, and assembling steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
  • Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to work on secure government sites and undergo an advanced DBS clearance.

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
  • Up to £17.50/hr depending on experience + overtime.
