Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30, Fri 08:00-14:00

The Role

Join a small, friendly toolroom team producing prototype, first‑off, small batch, and large precision components for aerospace, automotive, medical, marine, and nuclear sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate 3 & 5 axis CNC milling machines
  • Produce first‑off, prototype, small batch, and large components
  • Plan tooling sequences, adjust feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies to control vibration and ensure accuracy
  • Work with aluminium, stainless steel, tool steels, alloy steels, and engineering plastics
  • Use CAD/CAM software (Delcam, SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360)
  • Carry out conventional machining: centre lathe, turret mill, surface grinder
  • Make jigs and fixtures to support machining
  • Perform hand fitting and finishing to achieve tight tolerances
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and CMM
  • Ensure projects are completed on time to meet lead times

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years CNC milling experience
  • Experience with Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls
  • Skilled in toolroom/prototype machining and conventional machines
  • Able to produce jigs, fixtures, and large complex components
  • Experienced in tooling sequences, cutting speeds, and feeds
