As a Warehouse Operative your role is to ensure that the receiving, storage, picking and loading of stock is efficiently and timely managed. You will need a strong work ethic and a real attention to detail. The fast-paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency, and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty, it is important to ensure that you have a good level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks. Whatever task you are performing, your attention to detail will make sure that every parcel gets to the customer right and on time.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Unload, load, sort and accurately record deliveries
- Checking the quality, quantity, and condition of garments
- Pick and pack to customer specifications
- Assist with the loading of outbound deliveries
- Reprocessing returned goods
- Support stock counts and movements
- Assist as required within all operational work areas
- Work to targets and tight deadlines
- Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and tidy
- Adhere to company procedures and policies
Skills and experience required:
- Ideally have previous warehouse experience
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job - e.g. lifting and moving heavy boxes/products (manual handling training given)
- Strong attention to detail and be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Able to work as part of a team or independently
- Able to use IT equipment as part of daily activities (Hand Held Devices, PC)
- Numerate and literate
- Motivated and hardworking
This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week, specifically Monday to Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm and Friday 8.15am-2.50pm, with an unpaid lunch break. There is a requirement to work flexibly during our 'Back to School' period (July to September) between the hours of 8.00am - 8.00pm during the week and/or weekend. Overtime rates are applicable.
