Job Description
Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a Sales Engineer who is excited to help customers prevent attackers from compromising their business environment. We’re seeking an individual who is collaborative, passionate about their customers’ success, listens carefully to their customers’ needs, and can effectively evangelize the product across their territory/region. This role is critical for our client success and our internal company success as it provides a critical sales oriented technical interface between our sales, marketing, product, and research & development teams.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Soliciting business requirements, developing a technical sales strategy, configuring and effectively demonstrating how our solution addresses these requirements to expose our business value proposition.
• Understanding and documenting what customers need, establish the platform as the best solution that solves their challenges. You need to have the ability to build and present customized demos of the platform, and convey a deep understanding of the customer's technology as it pertains to the platform.
• Act as the conduit between the field and back-end (Product and R be able to effectively communicate challenges that arise during POC's and follow through to the resolution / development
• Proposing solutions and advocating on behalf of clients or sales team with our product and development team.
• Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management, respond effectively to RFPs, and travel to customers, based on territory alignment and region.
Qualifications:
• Four to five years of experience in the security field as a Sales Engineer or similar customer facing sales roles. Strong problem solver with the ability to come up with creative and innovative solutions to problems you have not encountered before.
• Cybersecurity Background with a technical understanding of common incident response, computer forensics, messaging security analysis and general Cybersecurity/SOC practices
• Amazing social skills and the ability to present yourself as a trusted advisor to customers looking to augment their email security posture
• Experience selling B2B SaaS solutions
• Experience with Cloud / AWS / Hosted Environments
• Experience Selling IT Solutions into MID/LARGE Enterprises
• Gather business requirements and success criteria, and be able to translate those into a successful evaluation
• Strong oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and autonomously, but also manage expectations of both customers and peers.
• Experience with a typical software development lifecycle best practice (SDLC) conducted within Atlassian JIRA or similar project/issue tracking system.
