At Trustpilot, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Business Solutions Team by combining technical expertise with a sales savvy approach. As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll design and present tailored solution architecture for our largest clients, drawing on your background in SaaS, eCommerce, APIs, and integrations. You’ll work closely with our sales team to lead technical demos, run proof-of-concept trials, and answer complex questions—ensuring each solution fits the client’s architecture perfectly. Your friendly, confident guidance builds customer confidence from the first meeting through onboarding, making sure new Enterprise clients adopt our platform seamlessly and successfully.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Solutions Engineer you’ll maintain a good balance in relation to product knowledge, focus on product reach and make sure that Trustpilot is able to close business by:
- Collaborating closely with the Commercial Team to understand client requirements and their objectives.
- Liaising with technical POCs to do technical discoveries and assess their needs.
- Designing and architecting comprehensive solutions that address the customer needs and align with their technical infrastructure, goals and requirements.
- Addressing technical questions, concerns, and objections raised by customers during meetings, providing clear and concise explanations and solutions.
- Planning and executing on validating our solutions fit and functionalities with the clients technical infrastructure.
- Partnering alongside the New Business and Customer Success Commercial Teams to support executing on strategic deals.
- Translating the proposed technical solutions into clear value propositions to customers.
- Leveraging your technical expertise to support the Enterprise sales team in identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Combination of both pre and post sales strategic consulting.
Who you are:
- Proven experience in Sales Engineering, technical presales or similar role.
- Strong technical background with fair understanding of software development and web technologies.
- Demonstrable experience of managing and completing RFI/RFPs.
- Comfortable learning new technology/systems quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge the gaps between technical capabilities with customer requirements.
- Good business acumen.
- Ability to derive value from customer pain points.
- Adept at delivering the best customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep passion and understanding for processes and systems and proactive in seeking opportunities to learn and improve existing ones.
