About the Role
We are looking for a Tax Manager to support the delivery of our global tax compliance and reporting obligations. The role reports into the Global Tax Senior Manager.
What you’ll do
- Manage Trustly’s global tax compliance process to ensure accurate reporting and payment of taxes worldwide, including reviewing corporate tax computations and returns, VAT returns and EC sales lists, maintaining a tax compliance calendar, and managing quarterly and year‑end compliance timelines.
- Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing calculations.
- Act as the main point of contact for Trustly’s global tax outsource provider, ensuring accurate, timely data and performing first reviews.
- Coordinate with Finance and Tax teams for data collection.
- Assist the tax team with key projects, audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Identify and implement digital solutions to enhance efficiency and streamline tax compliance processes.
- Support additional tax reporting requirements such as DAC 6, CESOP, FATCA, CRS and related regulatory compliance.
- Monitor tax legislative changes and assess potential impact on the business.
Who you are
- Significant experience managing tax compliance.
- Experience across direct and indirect tax (especially EU) and a willingness to learn and develop across all tax aspects globally.
- In‑house experience with FinTech or financial services is a strong advantage.
- Qualified tax professional (e.g., ACA, CTA in the UK or equivalent) with strong technical expertise.
- Tax accounting experience.
- Comfortable partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business and working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong ability to manage workload, multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Netsuite is a strong plus.
- Experience managing external advisors and building relationships with tax authorities.
- Enthusiastic about scaling and automating processes within a growing business.
- Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
