About the Global Tax Team

The Global Tax team is part of Group Finance and works cross‑jurisdictionally with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

About the Role

We are looking for a Tax Manager to support the delivery of our global tax compliance and reporting obligations. The role reports into the Global Tax Senior Manager.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage Trustly’s global tax compliance process to ensure accurate reporting and payment of taxes worldwide, including reviewing corporate tax computations and returns, VAT returns and EC sales lists, maintaining a tax compliance calendar, and managing quarterly and year‑end compliance timelines.
  • Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing calculations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Trustly’s global tax outsource provider, ensuring accurate, timely data and performing first reviews.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Tax teams for data collection.
  • Assist the tax team with key projects, audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Identify and implement digital solutions to enhance efficiency and streamline tax compliance processes.
  • Support additional tax reporting requirements such as DAC 6, CESOP, FATCA, CRS and related regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor tax legislative changes and assess potential impact on the business.

Who you are:

  • Significant experience managing tax compliance.
  • Experience across direct and indirect tax (especially EU) and a willingness to learn and develop across all tax aspects globally.
  • In‑house experience with FinTech or financial services is a strong advantage.
  • Qualified tax professional (e.g., ACA, CTA in the UK or equivalent) with strong technical expertise.
  • Tax accounting experience.
  • Comfortable partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business and working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong ability to manage workload, multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Netsuite is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing external advisors and building relationships with tax authorities.
  • Enthusiastic about scaling and automating processes within a growing business.
  • Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
