Trustlife Therapeutics is a London-based AI drug discovery company that builds multi-omics systems biology platforms to identify and validate novel therapeutics.
Under our end-to-end AI suite, Trustlife AI, we operate four integrated platforms: T-Target (novel target discovery), T-Eco (microbiome atlas), T-Drug (hit discovery), and T-Chat (AI assistant) spanning the full discovery-to-preclinical pipeline. Beyond our platform capabilities, Trustlife maintains a pipeline of 15 internal drug discovery programmes.
The Role
We are looking for a Head of Platform Sales & Partnerships to own the end-to-end commercialisation of Trustlife's platform assets from prototype through pilot and into full commercial readiness.
Your primary mission will be to turn Trustlife AI from a technically differentiated platform into a repeatable commercial product sold to biotech, techbio, pharma R&D, and venture-backed therapeutic companies. You will work alongside the science and engineering teams to close the gap between what the platform can do today and what it needs to do to become a sellable product, driving the readiness workstreams (compliance, packaging, pricing, customer discovery) while simultaneously building the relationships and pipeline that will generate first revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Commercialisation & Go-to-Market Readiness
- Lead the commercial workstreams of the action plan: product definition, packaging, pricing, and positioning
- Drive compliance readiness (UK GDPR, ISO 27001) with external consultants to ensure platforms meet pharma-grade procurement standards
- Design and structure pilot programmes with early-adopter partners — defining scope, success criteria, commercial terms, and feedback loops
- Develop commercial collateral: pitch decks, capability briefs, pricing proposals, and partnership term sheets
Licensing & Partnership Development
- Identify, evaluate, and establish licensing and partnership relationships with pharma R&D organisations and biotech companies
- Build and manage a pipeline of potential partners across:
- Pharma: mid-to-large pharma with active early-discovery pipelines
- Biotech ecosystem: UK and European biotech companies, incubators, science parks, and venture studios
- Build and maintain CRM and pipeline tracking infrastructure
- Feed market and competitor intelligence back into platform and pipeline decisions
- Contribute to fundraising materials and investor discussions on commercial traction
Who You Are
You are commercially driven but scientifically fluent. You can engage credibly with CSOs, Heads of Discovery, Translational Medicine leaders, computational biology teams, biotech founders, and pharma external innovation groups. You understand how AI, multi-omics, systems biology, microbiome science, target discovery, and hit discovery fit into the drug discovery value chain.
You are able to translate complex platform capabilities into concrete customer use cases, such as target identification, biological validation, disease biology mapping, microbiome-linked discovery, programme prioritisation, and AI-assisted discovery workflows. You can also help customers understand what evidence is needed to move from technical interest to paid pilot, and from paid pilot to broader collaboration.
Experience & Track Record
- 8+ years in life sciences, biotech, or techbio, with at least 4 years in business development, licensing, partnerships, or commercial strategy
- Proven track record of negotiating and closing partnership and licensing agreements in drug discovery or adjacent life science domains
- Existing network within pharma R&D, biotech BD, or the AI drug discovery ecosystem is strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of the drug discovery value chain, from target identification through preclinical development, and how pharma R&D organisations evaluate and procure external innovation
- Ability to engage credibly with commercial stakeholders — you understand how pharma makes partnering decisions, and how to structure a deal that survives legal review
- Commercial fluency in licensing structures, collaboration agreements, and milestone-based deal models common in the drug discovery industry
- Strategic thinker who can also execute — you can build a 12‑month partnership plan and run a CRM at the same time
Mindset & Ways of Working
- High integrity — you represent Trustlife in senior-level conversations with pharma partners, and you do it with credibility and professionalism
- Entrepreneurial — you see the potential in genuinely differentiated science and want to be part of building something from the ground up
First 12 Months Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to convert Trustlife AI from a differentiated internal platform into a repeatable external commercial offering. In the first 12 months, you will be expected to:
- Define 2–3 commercially packaged platform offers across Trustlife AI, with clear use cases, buyer personas, pricing logic, and proof points
- Build a qualified pipeline of biotech, techbio, pharma R&D, and venture‑backed therapeutic companies
- Secure senior customer discovery and business development conversations with relevant scientific, commercial, and executive stakeholders
- Convert initial external interest into paid pilots, strategic collaborations, or platform‑access agreements
- Design pilot programmes with clear scientific success criteria, commercial terms, feedback loops, and conversion paths
- Establish repeatable templates for proposals, pricing, CRM tracking, contracting, and post‑pilot expansion
- Feed customer, competitor, and market intelligence back into Trustlife’s platform roadmap and investor narrative
Why Join Trustlife
- Genuine scientific differentiation — Trustlife AI delivers capabilities that no other platform currently offers in combination. You are not selling a me‑too
- Direct access to leadership — you will work directly with the CEO and scientific founders, with exposure to board‑level decisions
- Build as we grow — founding commercial hire with scope to build a team as the company scales
