The Industry Lead is TrustID's & uChecks primary source of regulatory and market intelligence across our core sectors - Hospitality, Education, and Care - and the face of the businesses with industry bodies, suppliers, and partners. The role ensures the businesses, their products, and their customers stay ahead of regulatory change, while also leading external-facing thought leadership that builds TrustID's & uChecks reputation with partners and large clients.
Key Responsibilities include,
- Regulatory Expertise
Represent the businesses on relevant industry bodies across identity & background screening to gather intelligence and maintain visibility
Track regulatory developments affecting Hospitality, Education, and Care sectors
Coordinate and channel feedback from all industry bodies
Liaise with suppliers to understand market and industry shifts affecting the businesses or their customers
- Internal Communication
Summarise regulatory and market changes for the wider business
Work with Product, Compliance, and other relevant business stakeholders to keep them abreast of regulatory changes
Attend supplier reviews alongside Product, Compliance, and other relevant stakeholders to feed in our requirements to our partners
Work with Sales & Marketing to keep customer-facing collateral and content current
- Partners & Large Clients
Support the production of partner-facing updates on key regulatory and market change
Lead webinars and thought leadership activity for partners, direct clients, and group clients
- Strategy
Work with the MD and Leadership Team to feed regulatory and market intelligence into uCheck and TrustID's long-term strategy, including input on vendor and partner selection
Experience
- Proven experience in background screening or identity verification
- Working knowledge of, or strong aptitude to quickly learn, regulatory frameworks relevant to Hospitality, Education, and Care
- Confident public speaker
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating across Product, Compliance, Sales & Marketing, and senior leadership
- Excellent written communication skills
- Experience representing an organisation on industry bodies or trade associations - desirable
- Familiarity with DBS, RTW, or DVS regulatory frameworks - desirable
- Experience working with or managing supplier relationships - desirable
