You'll be part of a great team who will always support you, and make sure you feel fully informed about the direction of the business and your role in it.

The working pattern for this role is 35 hours per week, 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.

So what do we look for from you?

You will have already contributed to and benefited from the experience of working in a very fast moving or Marketing/PR agency environment. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to be part of a team that is focused on driving the business forward - using data to form decisions but also willing to test new initiatives.

The role is responsible for supporting the implementation of all elements of the marketing mix including campaigns, events co-ordination and production of marketing materials across all relevant aspects of our business. In particular the job holder will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of local marketing requests and in supporting our marketing and event calendar at a national and local level. This role would suit a self-motivated and enthusiastic marketeer, whose ambition is to work in a varied marketing role, covering both on and offline channels, in the retail arena.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the Marketing Plan - both current and future, and work with the team to support its implementation
  • Support the Marketing team in the implementation and communication of tactical activity as required.
  • Be the initial recipient of local marketing requests that come through either by Email or our Intranet (from Dealerships) and liaise with the Marketing team to communicate proposals within the internal team.
  • Take responsibility for the measurement and feedback of local marketing activities, keeping colleagues informed of progress, completion and post activity evaluation.
  • Support the planning, delivery and review of events as required e.g quarterly events to support plate-change activity, product launches in the planning and motor-shows.
  • Support the planning and implementation of partnerships and competitions.

If you want to apply for this job, you'll need to give us specific details about your experience and skills so we can understand why you're right for the role. For this position, you'll need to show us, with examples, that you have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced and confident in liaising with internal colleagues (often senior and from other business areas) and external 3rd party Media, PR and Design agencies by email, phone or in meetings
  • Proficient in formulating a marketing brief, using existing data and marketing knowledge to form a proposal for senior marketing colleagues to approve prior to implementation.
  • IT skills - including confident handling of Excel spread-sheets and Microsoft Word
  • Experience of proof reading with meticulous attention to detail on proposed content for both on and offline execution, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  • The ability to manage time effectively to minimise inefficiency, maximise productivity and ensure cost efficiencies where possible.
  • The ability to work confidently within a very busy team, some of whom will frequently be working remotely.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills

Qualifications

  • Degree level education or a recognised qualification in marketing
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Full, clean driving licence

This is a Hybrid role working on site and also from home (the first 3 months during probation will be worked from the office full time, you will then move on to hybrid working from month 4).
