The Consultant delivers consulting and training services that support aviation organisations in improving safety, compliance, and operational performance. The role contributes to client delivery, product development, and business growth by applying technical knowledge, structured problem‑solving, and effective stakeholder engagement across a range of assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consulting assignments by analysing client operations, identifying risks, and recommending practical, evidence‑based improvements.
  • Manage and contribute to client projects, ensuring delivery to agreed quality, time, and budget standards.
  • Deliver training courses and facilitated workshops, adapting approach to meet learner needs and achieve defined learning outcomes.
  • Apply detailed knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness regulations (including EASA Part‑M / Part‑CAMO, Part‑145, and relevant frameworks such as CAP 747 and Part‑21) within client environments, ensuring practical and compliant implementation.
  • Assess organisational structures, management systems, and governance arrangements (e.g. CAMO and AMO, including MOE and CAME), identifying gaps and opportunities to improve both compliance and operational performance.
  • Evaluate interactions between operations, maintenance, and airworthiness functions, identifying dependencies, risks, and inefficiencies across the system.
  • Support the development and improvement of Continuing Airworthiness processes, including maintenance programme (AMP) activities, airworthiness review processes (ARC), and assurance of maintenance activities, including assessment of corrective actions.
  • Build effective client relationships, support business development activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting tools, methodologies, and training products.

Tier 2 – AI Practitioner applies AI to optimise processes and decisions. Designs prompts and workflows that leverage AI for analysis, reporting, or automation. Evaluates AI output quality and bias. Identifies new AI use cases within their function. Shares best practices with the team.

Experience

  • Experience within aviation, with a strong focus on Continuing Airworthiness (e.g. CAMO, AMO, or equivalent operational environment).
  • Strong working knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness regulatory frameworks, including EASA Part‑145, Part‑M / Part‑CAMO, and their practical application in an operational context.
  • Understanding of core airworthiness principles, including Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA), Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARC), and the roles and responsibilities within CAMO and AMO environments.
  • Knowledge of the interactions between operations, maintenance, and airworthiness functions, including the delineation of responsibilities between CAMO and AMO organisations.
  • Familiarity with UK CAA and EASA regulatory environments, including awareness of post‑Brexit regulatory differences and their operational implications.
  • Understanding of key Continuing Airworthiness processes, including maintenance programme (AMP) development and oversight, and assurance of maintenance activities.
  • Ability to analyse operational and regulatory data and translate findings into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders in a professional environment, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory and technical concepts clearly.

  • Experience delivering training or facilitating workshops.
  • Exposure to safety management or compliance monitoring systems.
