The role
This is a great opportunity to bring your knowledge and expertise to Peak District Mosaic’s Board of Trustees, to contribute to the direction of our organisation. You will help to strengthen the team and be proactive in the governance and development of the charity, making a real, tangible and lasting difference to participants who become involved in Peak District Mosaic’s activities/events.
You don’t have to have been a Trustee before. We are looking for people who are passionate about the outdoor environment and enjoy working with people. Life experience, volunteering, community involvement, and personal passion are valued as much as work-based knowledge and skills.
We welcome applications from people who have a lived experience – with an understanding of working with or have worked with Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities and the importance this brings to building a sustainable organisation that is truly beneficial for the needs of the community.
We are undergoing an exciting period of development with our new project, Championing National Parks for Everyone, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. This project aims to expand our work and is being developed in partnership with the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, and Peak District National Parks. We are therefore interested in receiving applications from people living in these National Parks or areas near to them, including Greater Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, and South Yorkshire.
Please submit a covering letter (no longer than one page) detailing which role or roles you are interested in, the reasons why, and your relevant experience and skills.
