Our client is growing Bookkeeping Practice with 11 employees and with an array of clients from different industries including Hospitality, Arts and Music, IT and Technology, Retailers, Estate Agents and many more. They also act as an extended arm of the finance division for many of their clients.

Senior Bookkeeper/Client Manager Role
They are looking to recruit a candidate for the position of Senior Bookkeeper/Client Manager to take care of all our company day to day financial tasks. You will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with all payroll and bank account management and reconciliation tasks. Client management and relationships.
To do well in this role you should have previous experience of between 4-5 years as a Bookkeeper and have used Xero software.
Responsibilities
- Recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments
- Reconciliation of Sales/Purchase ledgers and bank accounts
- Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts
- Posting journals
- Reviewing nominal ledgers and spotting any errors
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly management reports
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Delegating and managing junior staff
Requirements
- The following are the essential requirements for this position
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with accounting software Xero
- At least 4 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- High level of proficiency in English
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and using Pivot tables
- Customer service orientated
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Very good communication skills
- Be very organised
- Experience using Xero Accounting software
