About the business

Our client is a growing Bookkeeping Practice with 11 employees and an array of clients across various industries, including Hospitality, Arts and Music, IT & Technology, Retailers and Estate Agents. They act as an extended arm of the finance division for many client companies.

Location: London Bishopsgate.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper/Client Manager to manage day‑to‑day financial tasks, including accounts payable & receivable, payroll, bank account management & reconciliations. The candidate will also manage client relationships.

Requirements:

  • 4‑5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Xero
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables)
  • Excellent English communication
  • Detail‑oriented
  • Customer‑service oriented
  • Organised
  • Capable of delegating to junior staff

Responsibilities:

  • Record all financial transactions: purchases, sales, receipts and payments
  • Reconcile sales/purchase ledgers and bank accounts
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts
  • Post journals
  • Review nominal ledgers and identify errors
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports
  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Delegate and manage junior staff

Package: £30,000 – £45,000 per year, negotiable based on experience.
