Our client, a busy doctors practice has the following role available to start immediately.

About Us: We are a large friendly Doctor's surgery with 11,000+ patients based in South West Hackney. We currently have 8 General Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants, a Practice Manager, Business Manager, Reception Manager and 10 reception staff. We are a training practice and have apprentices; we also teach medical students, Practice Nurse mentoring and host GP Registrars. We have a number of attached staff including a midwife who has a clinic once a week, Diabetic Nurse Specialist, Adult Community Nurses, a Community Matron and Health Visitors working with the practice.

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist/Administer to assist the smooth running of the Reception and Practice and providing administrative support in the provision of Primary Care Services. You must be a good communicator, have a positive attitude and be someone who can work independently as well as part of a team and who is flexible and able to provide cover at short notice. We are prepared to offer training and development opportunities to the right candidate.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri: 5 Hours a day (25 hours a week)

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • EMIS Web experience preferred but not essential
  • Computer literate
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Be happy to undergo a DBS check or have a DBS certificate dated within a year
