What You’ll Do
- Design and analyse experiments across product and marketing—referral journeys, incentives, virality mechanics, community events, and new feature tests.
- Build hypotheses, define success metrics, outline measurement frameworks, and ensure statistical robustness.
- Turn results into clear insights, action points, and repeatable playbooks.
- Run deep‑dive analyses to understand what drives sharing, engagement and conversion.
- Define measurement approaches and build out performance reporting to give visibility on key initiatives.
- Spot patterns in behaviour, funnels, and cohorts to surface new growth levers; quantify opportunity size and help prioritise experiments or features that could move the needle.
- Ground ideas with analytical evidence.
- Work closely with Product, Brand and Growth Marketing to align experiments with wider growth efforts.
- Evaluate the impact of campaigns, events and other marketing moments on virality and acquisition.
- Support and upskill other analysts and stakeholders across the business, sharing best practices in SQL, experimentation and data storytelling.
- Empower teams to better understand and use data independently, fostering a culture of curiosity and evidence‑driven action.
Who You Are
- Strong analytical: Advanced SQL skills; strong experience with statistics and experimentation (hypothesis design, A/B testing, statistical significance, regression techniques). You know what good measurement looks like and can explain trade‑offs simply.
- Marketing context: Exposure to different marketing channels and understanding of the roles they play in shaping a narrative. Contribute to defining marketing strategy.
- Growth‑minded: Understand funnels, cohorts, behavioural drivers and the mechanics behind sharing/referrals. Comfortable moving fast but also bring structure where it’s missing.
- Curious & critical: Challenge assumptions, dig into the “why” behind data patterns, not just the “what.”
- Bias for learning: Prefer rapid experimentation and generating insights over long theoretical cycles. Stay on top of analytics trends, measurement techniques and growth best practices.
- Data visualisation: Experience with visualisation and BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau, or similar).
- Communication and data storytelling skills: Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for different audiences.
Nice to Have
