This is an opportunity to join one of London's leading workplace design & build contractors, taking ownership of the technical design process on high-profile commercial fit out projects from concept through to completion.

You'll be the person who bridges creative ambition with technical reality, ensuring great ideas become exceptional workplaces without compromising quality, programme or budget. This is a business where Design Managers are trusted to lead, not simply coordinate.

The Opportunity:

Working alongside talented designers, pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams, you'll take ownership of the technical design process across a portfolio of high-quality workplace projects. You'll lead technical coordination, manage external consultants, solve complex design challenges and ensure every scheme is fully detailed, compliant and ready for construction. Rather than simply reviewing information, you'll actively shape technical solutions, influence project outcomes and play a key role in how projects are delivered. Alongside project delivery, you'll mentor junior team members, champion best practice and help continually improve technical standards across the wider design function.

About you:

You’ll most likely come from an Architecture, Interior Architecture or Technical Design background and have gained experience delivering commercial fit out projects within a design & build environment. You’ll be confident leading technical design packages, coordinating multiple disciplines and working closely with both clients and construction teams. Strong Revit experience is essential, along with a solid understanding of BIM coordination, Building Regulations, CDM and the practicalities of delivering fast‑paced workplace projects. Above all, you’ll enjoy solving problems, taking ownership and delivering technically excellent projects.

Why this role?

You’ll be joining a business with an outstanding reputation, a strong pipeline of work and a genuinely collaborative culture where technical excellence is valued. It’s a role offering real autonomy, exposure to some of London’s most exciting workplace projects and the opportunity to influence projects from the earliest design stages through to successful delivery. If you’re looking for a position where your technical expertise carries real influence rather than simply supporting the process, this is well worth exploring.
