CLIENT: Our client is a well-established London-based construction specialist with over a decade of experience delivering high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects across the commercial sector. Renowned for taking on some of the capital’s most technically challenging schemes, their portfolio includes structural modifications, basement construction, façade retention and complex cut-and-carve projects, with values reaching up to £50M. Due to a strong and growing pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Technical Services Manager to join the team.
THE ROLE
The Senior Technical Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of building services across multiple construction projects. The role will ensure all technical elements are effectively managed from pre-construction and tender stage through design coordination, installation, commissioning, and final handover. Acting as the key link between project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, the Senior Technical Services Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient project delivery across the business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead MEP strategy, coordination, and delivery on complex cut & carve refurbishment involving major structural alterations.
- Manage design integration with architectural and structural elements; oversee clash detection and spatial coordination (BIM).
- Oversee MEP subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with UK Building Regulations.
- Coordinate procurement and installation of mechanical, electrical, and public health services in live and constrained environments.
- Plan and oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all building services systems.
- Act as key interface between design consultants, site teams, and client stakeholders.
- Mitigate technical risks relating to existing services, legacy systems, and retained building elements.
