We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Combustion Engineer to join a growing specialist engineering team delivering works across London energy centres, district heating systems and commercial plant rooms. This position offers the chance to work on a varied portfolio of commercial and residential energy infrastructure projects, carrying out both planned and reactive works on commercial heating and combustion equipment throughout the London area.
The successful engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial boilers, burners and associated heating systems across multiple client sites. Duties will include:
- Carrying out planned maintenance on commercial heating systems
- Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical and combustion-related issues
- Reactive breakdown response and repair works
- Boiler and burner commissioning and optimisation
- Improving system performance and energy efficiency
- Producing technical reports and quotations where required
- Supporting junior engineers and apprentices on site
- Liaising with clients, contractors and site management teams
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety procedures and service standards
- Taking part in a call-out rota
Applicants should have:
- Valid Commercial Gas qualifications
- Current Commercial Gas Safe certification
- Strong background within commercial combustion engineering
- Previous experience working on commercial boilers and burner systems
- Knowledge of diagnostics, commissioning and reactive maintenance
- Experience using digital job management or CAFM systems
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional and proactive approach to work
