Our goal is to grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.
As a Senior Product Designer, you'll shape how potential customers discover, understand, and convert into paying members of TrustedHousesitters. We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Product Designer with a proven track record in designing high-converting acquisition and onboarding experiences that drive registration growth and payment conversion. You'll own the critical entry moments of the customer journey - from initial landing through registration, onboarding, and first payment - across both web and mobile platforms.
Working closely with UX research, product, marketing, and development teams, you'll design experiences that build trust, communicate value clearly, and convert registrations into active paying members.
Key Responsibilities- Own end-to-end design for acquisition and onboarding across web and mobile, from first touch through registration and first payment.
- Drive design across multiple customer touchpoints, from new mobile app flows and lifecycle nudges (email, push) to high-converting landing pages and web-based onboarding experiences.
- Design and optimise registration and onboarding experiences to reduce friction, improve conversion, and clearly communicate value and trust.
- Balance commercial goals with user-centric principles, ensuring transparency, confidence, and long-term member satisfaction.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams to shape strategy from acquisition through retention.
- Co-lead and execute a robust experimentation roadmap across all acquisition and onboarding flows, driving the definition of hypotheses, success metrics, and ensuring design quality throughout.
- Evolve our experimentation practice, enabling rapid testing of pricing, propositions, and pre/post-purchase experiences.
- Translate quantitative and qualitative insights into impactful product experiences that drive revenue and engagement.
- Plan and conduct user research to validate ideas, reduce risk, and inform design decisions.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system with evidence-based, customer-centric patterns.
- 5+ years of product design experience with a strong focus on acquisition, onboarding and conversion in fast-paced environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design and examples of measurable business impact.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, high-quality craft, and flawless execution.
- Demonstrated experience generating and communicating problem-statements, and hypotheses to drive solutions and optimisations.
- Proven ability to frame complex challenges into clear problem statements and actionable hypotheses.
- A strong conceptual understanding of different experimentation methods.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, particularly around value propositions and pricing.
- Experience balancing customer needs with business goals and technical constraints.
- Experience designing for different platforms and contexts including native app and responsive web experiences.
- Expert proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping; experience using AI-assisted design and prototyping tools.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across product, engineering, data, CRM and commercial teams.
- Experience using, contributing to and scaling design systems.
- Experience in subscription businesses, two-sided marketplaces, or products with a complex proposition.
- Background in high-growth or scale-up environments with strong experimentation cultures.
- Experience self-serving with a product analytics platform (we use Amplitude) is an advantage.
