As our Content Writer, you'll be one of the voices shaping how the world experiences our brand. You will craft creative, compelling copy across a range of channels, with a strong focus on paid social, paid search, CRM, creative concepting, and editorial. You'll be a natural storyteller with a performance mindset, with experience in writing persuasive copy that drives action, elevates brand storytelling, builds trust and understanding, and delivers results across a range of formats, ensuring brand consistency at every touchpoint.
Working as part of our Creative Studio, you'll collaborate with Marketing Design, Growth Marketing, Brand & Content, and PR & Campaigns. You'll manage multiple briefs simultaneously and write for different audiences and customer profiles, from pet owners to pet sitters, across multiple geographies (with a strong focus on the US and UK).
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-impact, scroll-stopping copy across paid social, paid search, as well as other top-of-funnel channels, working closely with Marketing Design and external agencies to develop strong messaging hooks.
- Respond to a range of creative briefs from across the business, producing high-quality, brand-aligned copy that delivers commercial performance.
- Write copy for selected CRM moments (non-functional/creative CRM briefs), and other marketing channels, including YouTube, OOH, radio/audio, as required and prioritised by the business.
- Support the Copy Lead on brand campaigns, concepts, creative ideas, core messaging, and US market expansion.
- Partner with the Brand & Content team, PR & Campaigns, Marketing Design, and Lead, to ideate and contribute to campaign concepts and key messaging.
- Collaborate with the Web Content Writer on high-quality, SEO-optimised articles and brand-led editorial for our blog.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies on delivery and proactively establish ways of working for copy requirements.
- Use performance data to iterate on and strengthen our brand messaging, applying learnings to future work.
- Contribute to the evolution of our editorial guidelines to enhance clarity, consistency, and brand voice.
- Experience creating paid performance creative, particularly for paid social, with an understanding of what drives clicks, conversions, and attention in top-of-funnel channels.
- Strong brand and concepting background, with the ability to translate strategy into compelling creative ideas and storytelling.
- Proven experience writing persuasive, action-oriented copy across multiple channels and touchpoints, ideally in a high-growth business.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience in editorial and long-form writing, with a strong understanding of SEO copywriting.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and data insights into high-quality, engaging brand copy.
- Comfortable managing multiple briefs and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to produce high-impact creative at pace while maintaining strong craft and attention to detail.
- Strong grasp of brand voice with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences, customer profiles, and markets (particularly the US).
- Comfortable using CMS platforms (e.g., Builder.io), SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush), and design tools (e.g., Figma).
£32,000 - £35,000 a year
