TrustedHousesitters is a fast-growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel. We’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, for their people, and for the global community of animal lovers who look after them. Our goal is to grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.

What you’ll do

  • Experimentation: Design and run experiments on and off the product: referral flows, shareables, waitlists, incentives, progress/status mechanics. Define hypotheses, measurement frameworks, monitor and analyse results, translating learnings into playbooks that help us grow faster.
  • Query & Analyse Data: Conduct your own analytics to better understand user behaviour. Define measurement approaches and build tracking & monitoring solutions to create visibility on your squad’s initiatives. Use data exploration tools (Mode and Amplitude) and write your own SQL.
  • Marketing Amplification: Partner closely with Brand, Growth and Product Marketing to blend marketing activity into virality plays. This could involve local events, hyperlocal advertising or other marketing virality-type moments. Attend IRL marketing events and speak directly to potential customers.
  • Do Things That Don’t Scale: Think creatively to find scrappy ways to test and validate virality ideas.
  • Empathise with Users: Deeply understand the real people behind the user counts and virality coefficients who use our product, tapping into motivations and triggers likely to prompt authentic word of mouth.
  • Wear Many Hats: Partner closely with Product, Design and Engineering in your squad, speaking their languages and connecting the dots to help the squad move faster, co-developing virality playbooks we can scale globally.
  • Run Virality Initiatives: In close collaboration with Product, drive key virality initiatives forward, owning some of these yourself, such as Refer-a-Friend.

Who we’re looking for

  • Data Literate: Ideally come from a maths/data background, transitioned (or want to transition) to the strategy/business side. Strong grasp of analytics and how we can (and can’t) measure user behaviour. Can write good SQL and lean on the Data team for complex tasks. Experience running experiments and using A/B testing tools.
  • Gamification Exposure: Experience/knowledge in typical gamification techniques that drive engagement. Grounding in behavioural science and/or consumer psychology is ideal.
  • Marketing Context: Exposure to different marketing channels and understanding their roles in shaping a narrative. Ability to drive forward the marketing strategy and contribute to tactical decision-making.
  • Thrive in Ambiguity: Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-moving environment that is constantly evolving.
  • Driven & Curious: Want to understand how and why things work (or why they don’t). Proactively seek out ways to improve performance, challenge assumptions and strive to take things to the next level.
  • Bias to Action and Impact: Value shipping fast over polishing endlessly, optimising for learning and iteration.
  • Commercially Aware: Able to understand how a business makes money, and how you and other teams contribute to growing it.
  • Constantly Learning: Always seeking to develop your skillset, staying up-to-date with recent trends.
