Our client is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to take ownership of all site maintenance, ensuring equipment, plant and facilities are operating efficiently and safely. This is a key role supporting day-to-day operations, continuous improvement and compliance across the site.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with the site maintenance programme
  • Manage engineering stock, including spare parts, tools and consumables
  • Order parts and materials as required to minimise downtime
  • Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns in line with operational needs
  • Organise and manage contractors for repairs, servicing and compliance activities
  • Attend and respond to call outs when required
  • Support research and development of new plant and equipment
  • Ensure all monitoring, testing and compliance requirements are met in line with site permits
  • Coordinate waste removal and general site requirements
  • Support wider site operations as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in maintenance within an industrial or plant environment
  • Experience with shredder repairs and refurbishment, including cutter replacement
  • Ability to service and maintain forklift trucks
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
  • Welding experience and ability to carry out repairs
  • Experience maintaining roller shutter doors and general site equipment
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and maintenance schedules
  • Hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused approach
